Detour

Pre-COVID, I was set to join the Berlin Marathon today. But good thing it got cancelled due to preventive protocols as I would have not been ready for it due to the lockdown restrictions over the last months (lack of training!).

But was still a good morning to run and decided to try a new route today. It was a quick 8km run but I felt more tired than usual hitting my 5km mark.

Took some turns and changed it up and took a new route. What a big difference it made! I felt lighter paying more attention to the road and pavements. Almost sprained because road was uneven and I had to stay on the side roads. Mindfulness always helps!

Maybe that usually is the case, it takes a little bit of change to get us back on track and make us a little bit more pumped up. It maybe the route, or the way, or the order on how we do it, or changing up the environment that can do the trick.

All of us needs a refresh once in a while and sometimes it results in a major reset. And a breakthrough!

Some thoughts resonating in my mind – “Every once in a while, do something that scares you.” “It takes a little to do a lot.” “We choose the environment that challenges us AND grows us.” And glows us. šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‰šŸ˜
